For the parent

Rest for you, safe for your child

You decide. Without your consent there is no child mode. What the app does do is limited and can be checked.

There is no screen for your baby here. Everything on this page is a sentence for you, to read and then put down. No animation that catches her eye, no sound aimed at her.

How old is your child?

Sound and voice

Recite what you are learning yourself

Take the part you are working on and say it out loud near her. She hears a parent who is learning, and that is the lesson.

What happens around 9 to 12 months

Pulling up to stand comes between 6.0 and 11.0 months. She responds to her name.

These are windows, not deadlines. Children differ. If you have doubts, ask your health visitor or your doctor.

Looking together

Point and name

Point at the moon, the lamp, the water, and say the word once, calmly. Repeat it tomorrow in the same place.

Looking together

Something to pull up on

Put a sturdy edge at her height and stay where she can see you. Your presence makes the leap possible, not your help.

First words

Gestures count as words

Waving, pointing, opening the hands for du'a. What she says with her hands comes before what she says with her mouth.

Rest and sleep

After the busyness, recover

After a day full of people: dim the lights, carry her, stay quiet for a while. It isn't about never getting it wrong, it's about coming back.

Rest →

Du'a through the day

Bismillah at every start

When eating, when going out, when getting in the car. Around her first birthday she recognises the word by what comes after it.

Watch mode

Turn on child mode to use watch mode. Listening stays on the device and is never recorded.
